Water Skiing on Lac Leman

Enjoy the exhilaration and enjoyment of water skiing and wake-boarding on Lac Leman in Chalet Bluebell’s own speed boat. Speeding across Lake Geneva is an experience you just need to try! At Chalet Bluebell you have the chance to master this thrilling sport as part of your vacation with us, ensuring you receive a personal introduction to this new challenge by a fully qualified British Water Ski Federation instructor.  Our Fletcher boat is ideal for water skiing and wakeboarding so we can teach you how to get up from a deep water start and possibly progress to mono skiing or jumping the wakes. For non-skiers, kneeboards and ringos are available so that everybody can enjoy the thrill of water, sun and speed. Lake Geneva is only a 40-minute drive from the chalet and is an idyllic place to relax on the beach whilst spectating others attempting skiing.

There are cafes and restaurants nearby and designated swimming areas with diving platforms. Pedalo, stand-up paddleboards and boat hire is also available from the lakeside. For extra indulgence, we can provide a gourmet picnic or BBQ with sparkling wine or beer to enjoy by the lakeside.  Prices are approximately 60 EUR per day including all equipment and transport. Suitable for 5 to 6 years and over.

White Water Rafting

Traditional white water rafting is on an inflatable raft that holds 6-8 people along with the instructor; perfect for families and large groups! There are also options of hot-dogging – which is similar to inflatable canoes, and hydro speeding with a float and flippers through the rapids.

The white water centre is situated on The River Dranse and is France’s second most popular white water course. It is located just outside of Morzine approximately 20 minutes from Les Gets, where we will drop you off and either watch or join you down the rapids!

All equipment such as wetsuits, helmets, life vests and paddles are provided and professional photographers with capture your experience and offer photo CDs at the end of the adventure.

Suitable from 8 years of age and over. Price approximately 35 EUR per person.

Canyoning Les Gets
4

Canyoning

A truly fantastic event that despite its extreme reputation can be enjoyed by everyone, providing you have a reasonable level of fitness and a touch of nerve!

The day commences with an abseil from a narrow bridge that connects Morzine to Nyon. You follow the course of a natural mountain river through gorges and canyons that involves climbing, abseiling, walking, swimming, water chutes and some thrilling rock jumps! Your guide will lead you through a series of breath-taking plunges, jumps, drops and more abseils.
A few hours later you arrive at Nyon to dry off in the sun. You will be fully kitted up in wetsuits, helmets and harnesses, and we recommend wearing an old pair of trainers on your feet. Price approximately 40 EUR per person. Suitable for over 12 years of age.

Parapenting Les Gets

Parapenting

Fly high above Les Gets with an experienced instructor for an amazing birds-eye view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. Flying tandem attached to a parachute – this is another “not be missed experience” and is simply breathtaking.

Parapenting is a very popular activity in the Alps and involves flying a ‘Wing’ in the thermals high above the valley floor below. A qualified instructor will take care of you whilst you enjoy the ride. If you’re a bit more dare-devil then the instructor can demonstrate stalls and basic acrobatics.

The flights start up in the mountains from a standard take-off point that you will be driven to in a 4×4 vehicle or you can take the chairlift up. Flights last more than 15-20 minutes and the sensation is wonderful! You can pay extra to have an extended 40 min flight.

Via Ferrata

Via Ferrata –  the Via Ferrata (or “Iron Path”) is a specially designed climbing course on a cliff face offering an alternative way to traverse the mountain with the help of ladders, steps, abseiling points and cables. It is an organised course with a guide who accompanies you to ensure safety equipment is correctly set and assist you, to help make your day as memorable and exciting as possible. Harnesses and helmets are provided; we recommend you wear sturdy footwear such as walking boots or trainers and have no fear of heights! Price approximately 40 EUR per person.

Fantasticable – Speed through the air superman style at up to 60 miles per hour. The cable soars over 2 valleys and is an amazing sensation not to be missed! Wearing a harness and helmet you are attached to a cable and released to speed through the air miles above the picturesque Alpine countryside. Price approximately 30 EUR per person.

Climbing

Whether you are an expert or a beginner, where better to climb than in a sunny, spectacular location in the Alps. Instructors are available to help you tackle a rock-face the correct way and when the rain does let us down there’s an indoor climbing wall to practice on.  Prices depend on level and kit required, please ask and we will inquire for you.
